Everyone has those friends that go above and beyond to make you feel great on a special day. Mine were nothing short of "extra" when it came to my engagement day.. My friends and family had known about the proposal for over seven months!! When the day finally came, my friends showered me with the most amazing gifts every bride-to-be secretly wants! Here are my top fifteen cute gifts to give your recently engaged friends: 1. Tumbler This is probably one of my favorite gifts I received after getting engaged. I actually got the one pictured below from Francesca's and I use it almost every day. It makes for a super cute gift every girl can use whether it's for coffee or not! 2. Key chain Matching "Mr and Mrs" key chains are a great idea for those couples who are getting a new house or apartment together. These little gifts will be a constant reminder of what they are going home to! 3. Ring Dish This is an excellent gift that every future bride can use. I use mine on a daily basis when I am doing dishes, showering, or even sleeping. It is perfect because I'll always know where I last left my ring! 4. Wine Stopper What girl doesn't love wine? Pair a cute diamond wine stopper with a wine glass and you have a perfect start to a night of wedding planning! 5. Wedding Planner or Journal A few of my future bridesmaids actually got me both! My friends Lindsey and Taylor got me a wedding planning journal that I carry in my purse for when I need to write down ideas for my blog or even future wedding planning inspiration! On the other hand, a wedding planner is a huge MUST for all future brides-to-be! My friend Chelsea got me a wedding planner which has been helpful when it comes to keeping track of guest lists, reception contacts, and much more! 6. Luggage Tags Even if she doesn't travel a lot, she will need these for her honeymoon! This is a great gift because it is something we often overlook when going on a trip. Let's face it, girls pack way more than boys so she can definitely use the extra tags! 7. Necklace I actually gave away a "Mrs" necklace as my first giveaway because I am obsessed with them! This is a must for my next wish list! This is a perfect gift for brides who love simple jewelry. And of course, it goes with every outfit! 8. Koozies David and I were given "Mr and Mrs" koozies which have been great for the summer while we hang out at the pool! And with football season right around the corner, we won't be packing them away any time soon! 9. Christmas Ornament An ornament that says "Our First Christmas" or " We're Engaged 2018" is a gift that the couple will use every year for the rest of their lives. This sentimental gift will become a part of their own Christmas tradition for the future! 10. Bride Tote I am in desperate need of one of these! They're perfect for brides to carry their wedding planner and other brochures in as they go to various reception venues, gown fittings, and more! 11. T-shirt I have seen a ton of shirts with sayings such as "Feyonce" or "Engaged AF" that are basically adorable! A t-shirt is an excellent gift that she will wear when she floods her social media with recently engaged pictures or even on her bachelorette trip! 12. Key Covers I actually bought David and I matching "Mr and Mrs" key covers as a mini home warming present to ourselves. Getting an apartment together for the first time is a huge milestone and little gifts such as a key chain or key cover can make the experience even more memorable! 13. Wine Glass Whether it is a wine glass that says "This is my wedding planning glass" or "Future Mrs. Johnson" it will be perfect for any bride! It is super easy to customize and the personal touch will be something she appreciates forever! 14. Make-up bag This cute bag can be used to hold jewelry, nail polish, or make-up. It's an awesome gift for brides who are constantly on the move! 15. Bridal Magazines
This was the first thing my mom bought me when I got engaged. Well still buys me? I find new ones stuffed in my purse or in my bedroom when I visit home. Bridal magazines are fun to look through and help future brides get inspiration for wedding dresses, reception venues in the area, or even decorations!

Wetherington Golf and Country Club is located in West Chester Township, Ohio. I had the pleasure of seeing the venue in action at a wedding this past weekend. The grounds are absolutely stunning and perfect for the occasion.
Venue- The venue was relatively spotless and was decorated exceptionally. It also allows for about 200 guests to fit comfortably and provides both indoor and outdoor spaces. The venue is classic and can easily fit with any wedding style. Food- The venue provided a buffet style dinner which is a huge ease when it comes to guest preference. However, the buffet was only a couple tables and two lengthy lines which could have been sped up if more buffet locations were established. Despite the wait, the staff was quick to replace any dishes that had run out to keep the guests moving. Unfortunately, the food was bland and did not offer much variety. Staff- The staff can make or break your venue experience. The venue had placed specific staff to each group of tables to keep every guest happy. The staff was attentive but relatively slow when bringing back orders of drinks or refilling on hors d'oeuvres. On a side note, the staff had excellent uniforms that coincided with the professionalism and class of the venue itself. The venue is a great choice for a wedding reception venue. It provides tons of space and can do both indoor and outdoor weddings. The staff is as professional as they look and despite their delay they are constantly attending to the guests. If they allow you to bring in an outdoor caterer I would definitely consider it. Overall, Wetherington Golf and Country Club is a high contender when it comes to reception halls! |
