I had my first bridal appointment ever at Signature Bridal in Austin, Texas. To be completely honest, I was kind of nervous walking in. I had heard horror stories from other brides about how the dress selection was not size inclusive and they wound up feeling worse about themselves when they left. I tried to push the negative thoughts and fears aside, and strolled in to meet my dress assistant Desiree.
There is not enough praise in the world for this woman. Desiree made me feel completely comfortable and had me excited to start! She asked if I had ever been to a dress fitting and assured me she would make it the best experience ever. She gave each of my sisters and my mother two tags to pick out dresses that they thought I might like. She gave me a few tags and also picked out some herself. After all the dresses were tagged and pulled from the racks, we hit the dressing rooms! I am pretty sure I tried on almost 30 or more dresses. I tried on ones that were too big which were easily taken in by clips. On the other hand, I tried on dresses that were too small but don’t get discouraged because they had dress extenders to help get the idea of what it would like! Obviously, have ideas of what kind of dresses you want to try on but don’t be opposed to other options as well because you might just be surprised! I left Signature Bridal with two favorites but was still on the hunt for the one! P.S. None of the pictures are THE DRESS but a few of my favorites from the appointment!

A bachelorette trip is often used as a way to celebrate the bride's last few days as a non-married woman! It is a great way to get in that last minute girl time before the final wedding preparations come to a close. Whether you are the Bride, MOH, bridesmaid, or gal pal, everyone has a chance to have fun and make lasting memories to look back on. A couple of weeks ago, I got to celebrate my friend Cora's bach trip! Like many, she is known as the "chill bride" who just wanted a chance to relax! The "chill bride" is one who often seemed to not sweat the small stuff while planning or has hit the point where she is just ready to let loose before the big day. She doesn't necessarily want back to back activities or sleepless nights. The "chill bride" wants a weekend getaway where everyone is ready to go with the flow! And our girl Cora was no different, her bach trip consisted of soaking up the sun, tons of girl talk, and cocktails on the beach! Destination: Pensacola Beach, Florida |
