After David proposed to me, I was consumed with finding the perfect way to ask my girls to be bridesmaids. It was my turn to pop the question. These ten ladies would be with me through every pre-wedding party, shower, and of course on the most important day of my life.
I decided I would host a “Bridesmaids Drunk Brunch” in order to shower my bridesmaids! We had brunch at Flamingo A-Go-Go which is a new local spot in New Orleans. The day was filled with endless mimosas and some of the best food around. I was able to present each girl with their personal bridesmaid proposal box which I had been working on for months! And I have a million pictures to prove it haha! So you want the details on how to plan your own? First, decide on a restaurant or place you would like to have it. It can be at the new hot spot in town, a sentimental diner you all use to eat at, or even someone’s house. Next, pick a time and date that works for everyone! Set a dress code if you have a theme (floral, sleepover, a certain color) because you will be taking pictures non-stop. After you finalize all the details you can make a fun little invitation off of Canva or another similar app. Wah lah!! You just made an easy DIY party for your bridesmaids! I am extremely happy with how my bridesmaid brunch turned out! It was not the easiest to get all eleven of us in the same place at the same time but somehow, we managed. I may be biased, but I think I might have snagged the best bridesmaids around. This was a small way that I was able to show appreciation to the women who will help me through my meltdowns, make up mishaps, and wedding day jitters. I cannot thank them enough!
